The department was started in the year of 2008 since the inception of college, with an intake of 60 students and enhanced to Post graduate during 2012 by virtue of continuous updating and expertise requirements of the field. The department has transformed 10 batches into successful SOFTWARE ENGINEERS working in various parts of the world to raise the brand NIT.
Thanks to our valuable recruiters like CTS, Wipro, HP, HCL, TCS, IBM, Infosys, Tech Mahindra Limited, BYJU’S, Sutherland technologies ,Vee Technologies , GODB, on assuring 100% placements. Presently the department educates 101 aspiring engineers to glory with our efficient faculty members of various specializations of post graduations like Computer Science , Network & Internet, Mobile & Pervasive, Information Tech of Computer Engineering. Well equipped, modernized laboratories of the department ensures hands on experience to the students to provide a cut above we planned to institute involvement of students in research to enhance ‘LEARNING THROUGH DOING’ in coming years.
The department is equipped with experienced faculties of various domains of Computer Science & Engineering to cater the requirements of the student community at large, with their experience and expertise in the subjects have made our department proud with right mixture of experience and energy. In industry institute cooperation front, we planned to institute research laboratories to cater the needs of the industry by the way of encourage our students to undertake industrial live projects.

The Department offers both UG and PG Programme which primarily focus upon producing entrepreneurs and engineers to become globally competitive in delivering innovative solutions to diverse industrial domains. The Department has state of the art laboratory facilities for skill up gradation of students with new age skills like AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, Deep Learning and Big Data Analytics.
